Sundemons Restored is a small vanilla-friendly dialogue restoration for the Scorchlander race, made to bring their “Sundemon” dialogues back into the game.
Why should I use this mod?
Scorchlanders rarely talk in vanilla Kenshi. This happens because “Sundemon” or “Sun demon” dialogues are supposed to be locked behind “subrace = Scorchlander” gated nodes, but many of them are set to “subrace = Greenlander” instead. And since Greenlanders use their own dedicated dialogue trees, these “Sundemon” dialogues are rarely used in-game, even though they fit Scorchlanders perfectly:
What does this mod change?
Sundemons Restored edits only the “Sundemon” and “Sun demon” dialogue entries to replace the Greenlander subrace requirements with Scorchlander instead.
With this simple fix, Scorchlanders will now talk just as much as any other race AND sound like they are supposed to.
Meanwhile, the Greenlanders will still speak and sound as usual since this change doesn’t affect them, and Sundemons Restored won’t need any patch to work alongside your favorite dialogue mods!
Scope
This mod is focused and lightweight. It does NOT add a full dialogue overhaul, rewrite vanilla dialogue lines, or introduce gameplay changes. It only adjusts existing dialogue conditions and assignment logic to give Scorchlanders more lore-friendly dialogue and allow them to talk as they should.
More in the future?
I will not add, erase, or rewrite any dialogue lines in this mod. It only brings Scorchlanders back to the center of the stage. Keeping this mod lore-friendly, compatible with huge overhauls, and safe for your 400+ mods modlist is the objective.
Compatibility
Safe to install or remove mid-save.
Should be compatible with pretty much anything.
Don’t forget to import your game when adding or removing mods!
SUNDEMONS RESTORED should ideally be loaded after total overhauls and dialogue mods which might change the SUNDEMON entries.
You’ll then be able to enjoy ALL the new dialogues added by your favorite mods. AND your Scorchlanders will sound like the Sundemons they should be!
